Linlee Grey - Singer

Linlee Joy was born singing – or so her mother would tell you. From the new born child who’s baby happy notes could be clearly heard heralding her arrival as she was carried down the hospital corridor on her way from the nursery at feed time, to the toddler in nappies balancing herself on the nearest furniture as she echoed her mother’s practice of the soprano solos of Handel’s Messiah, as well as many hours amusing herself at her parents internationally traveled Symphonic choir rehearsals, it wasn’t many years (about age 4) before Linlee and her older sister actually joined their parents on the stage at local concerts and community functions. Linlee’s ability and love for singing was notably obvious and special family times often included listening to all varieties of musical genres and as a young teenager singing around the piano in 3 part harmony with her mother and sister.

Linlee has studied piano as well as Voice Craft & has performed at many community events including Carols by Candlelight, weddings, even funerals and at one stage several Northern Rivers Liberal Party functions. At each event Linlee’s musical contribution has added immensely to the success and the special sentiment of the occasion. One highlight of her career was the opportunity to appear as Dion Dimucci’s support act at the Gold Coast and in Northern NSW on his gospel tour of the early nineties.

Over the years Linlee’s experience and of course quality of music has developed and matured , Her voice is very melodic but also powerful with an easy three octave range and is suited to all kinds of styles including jazz, ballads and of course contemporary gospel which she loves. Whether it’s an unforgettable rendition of your favourite song or relaxing background music, in Linlee’s own words, “I have always loved to sing and others have loved to listen making a winning combination for everyone”.
